Hermosa Valencia

Tuesday, May 4, 2010

Valencia on time with flight from Bergamo. There head straight to the brand new metro station to reach the historic center. The lines are 3 and 5 and the ride costs € 1.90. We get to Xativa
opposite the central railway station and the Plaza de Toros (one of the largest in Spain).
In a few minutes walk to the hotel Venecia http://www.hotelvenecia.com/ consigliatomi by Valya, I confirm what you said that it is situated within a beautiful square and is located in central position. The triple room is quite spacious and the bathroom clean (there is also a bidet).
Knowing that the airport is in zone "B", I do not think bono is included in the tour transfer to / from.
We, the reading of the very efficient bus that takes you everywhere without having to walk miles, we did bono for the bus which was used to make 10 trips at a cost of 6 € (1.25 € is the cost of a single fare). We have set up a card of 30 races as we were only in 3 and activation in tobacco costs 2 €.
we only used the metro to the airport!

Wednesday, May 5, 2010

We decided to spend almost the entire day at the City of Arts and Science. Take the comfortable bus 19 which stops right near it!
What can I say? The complex is really beautiful and unique.

After taking hundreds of photos, we enter the Museum of Science Prince Filipe. We decide to make the ticket that includes this and Oceanography, as I and another friend are students, we paid € 22.10 instead of 26.00. The Museum of Science
I loved it because it is interactive and there are many things to learn and put into practice. What we liked most is definitely the birth of the chicks (Pollitos)!
Also interesting is the exhibition of Marvel.
Exit the museum, we turn away for a while 'from the CAC with a visit of Porto in the area and go to enjoy a fantastic Paella at the historic restaurant "La Pepico.
We go to the 1 and we note that the space is almost completely empty (we know that the English have completely different schedules, however, did not want to risk running out of table since we had not booked).
We settle at a table near the window because there was too much outside air.
Patiently waiting for the Paella.

We left the restaurant very satisfied and we take a short walk to the beach first and then along the seafront to return to the bus stop (including the location and Veles e Vents America's Cup in 2007).
Recall the 19 bus and go back to the area to bring us to visit the CAC acqurio.
The complex is located in is beautiful, but in fact, there are many animal species and do not employ even 4 hours as we had mentioned to visit everything!
In any case, I really like to see the aquarium.

After we rested a bit 'in the hotel, we decided to go to Plaza de la Reina and dinner from Wednesday to 100 montaditos as drinks and sandwiches consist only 1 euro.
Since it is packed with people, we order the stuff to take away and we sit on a bench for dinner!
After dinner we take a walk so far as to Plaza de la Virgen and we see what are the minimum distances from one point to another. This first day
Valenciana ends here.
Thursday, May 6

First half of this day dedicated to the historical center of Valencia is the Mercado Central. The structure that houses it is beautiful! The stalls sell lots of fresh produce such as eggs, ham, fish, cheese ...
take advantage of one of the few banks used to vedita of bread and cakes to buy our breakfast that will taste just leave.

After breakfast, we move a few meters as almost opposite the Mercado is the Lonja de la Seda (Silk Market site) was built in 1469 as a result of commercial prosperity that the city of Valencia reached during the fifteenth century and is one of the major attractions of the city. Input Free!

Exit the Lonja, we are moving towards Plaza de la Virgen Wander the streets and the murals of typical English shops.
The square is lovely, without many decorations and full of people. The square is surrounded by important monuments such as the Basilica de los Desamparados, the Palace of the Generalitat and a fountain representing the River Turia.

Since early enough, we decide to visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria which is located a short walk from Plaza de la Virgen: it is the most important church in the city. It 's a Gothic church but also elements of Romanesque and Baroque.
Inside, included in the price will deliver the audio driving .. In general, I would say that merit special attention, two paintings by Goya and the Chapel of the Holy Grail (with a presumed cup).
unfortunately we do not get on the bell tower of Miguelito.

At noon we meet in Plaza de la Virgen (I think it totally abandons the main entrance door of the cathedral), to attend the Tribunales de las Aguas, which is held every Thursday at 12 noon weekdays. During this session together with a formula unchanged for over a thousand years, the representatives of the 8 channels that bring water to Valencia, and anyone who attended the session can take action by exposing any issues relating to water. It often happens, as was also us when we went, no one has anything to say because the session only lasts a few minutes.

After witnessing the Tribunales de las Aguas, we decided to go for lunch once before they reach the English.
We opt for the tapas bar, "El Pilar" .. Good choice because it is still almost empty! Eat tapas as montaditos, patatas bravas, and pulpo calamares. I still dream of the night, the tapas!
After lunch, we decide to spend a moment and then go to the hotel to relax in a beach Oretta; passeggiamoo first for the center and also making a stop ordering all'Horchateria Santa Catalina and exactly un'horchata farton. We liked it a lot, a Horchata little 'drink less but we have almost all (in 3).
Oretta spend a while relaxing on the beach and then go back to the hotel to prepare for dinner. As a last
comida espanola, eat a good paella jamon serrano in a place near the Plaza Redonda.
After dinner we take our beloved bus to enjoy the CAC 19 by night: it is also as beautiful night and there is almost none!

May 7, 2010

Tries to our last morning in Valencia were Torres de Quart, Mercado Colon, Jardin de Turia, Palau de la Musica, Metro Puente de la Alameda and Exposition (the latter two are always the work of Calatrava).

Time to go to the hotel to collect luggage and then we Dirgha towards AIRPORTS!
Even this small English town impressed us.

Berlin Über Alles - New Year 09/2010

Notes

The town I loved it! Despite being a capital, life is a little chaotic and the roads with little traffic.
As I noted, you can still see the differences between East and West .. Loved the contrast between historical and modern monuments to which they have worked for several world-renowned architects such as: Piano, Foster, Gehry, etc. .. I have noticed little
police around than in London and Berlin, especially in metro stations. Nearly zero controls on transportation!
In Germany, the food is good and being a lover of meat and potatoes I had no problems.
I have not noticed a huge crowd of tourists to enter the museum so we never waited more than 5 min.
The temperatures were quite cool, so much we had 2 days of snow but no major problems on the movement! We were well covered so we have suffered very cold!

monuments, neighborhoods and places not to miss:
- Pariser Platz;
- Brandenburg Gate;
- Reichstag
- Holocaust Memorial;
- Potsdamer Platz
- Sony Center;
- Alexanderplatz
- Television Tower;
- Museum Island;
- Rathaus;
- Berliner Dom;
- NicolaiViertel;
- Gendarmenmarkt;
- East Side Gallery;
- Olympia Stadion,
- KaiserKirche;
- Tiergarten
- Check Point Charlie;
- New Synagogue;
- Tacheles;

Here we enjoyed a good German cuisine:

- Lindenbräu (located inside the Sony Center)
- Georgbraeu Brauhaus http://www.georgbraeu.de/
- not far from Joe's Wirtshaus Berlin Zoo http://www.joes-berlin.de/
- Kartoffelhaus http://hbservice.homepage.t-online.de/bkh/index.html

Monday 28 December

Here we are starting to spend New Year abroad 4th row behind .. To Berlin!
E 'an unusual year because the Berliners have just concluded the celebration of the ventenario the fall of the Berlin Wall. I had only 2 in 89 years but this piece of history that has always studied in school, I still fascinates today. The thought of walking in a city that has been divided for many years and that alone is like 20 years reborn a second time, fascinates me! Indeed, it is strange to think that has been declared the capital of Germany only in 1991.
reach in about 2 Oretta TravelParking the parking lot a few miles from Malpensa Airport.
flight departing on time with Easyjet! We never got this low cost but we are fine. On board the time has passed quickly for the presence of a gay steward nice
We land at the airport 18:15 Shoenefeld, outputs from the 500 m walk to reach the train platform! Get tickets for the Airport Express (2.80 each) in the automatic machines.
There were no problems on the route so go down quietly at Friedrichstrasse after about 25 min. Here, take the metro stop that will take us 2 near the 'hotel.
The hotel we chose is a brand new 4 * Winter's Hotel Berlin Gendarmenmarkt Stadtmitte booked through hotels.com
http://www.winters-hotel-berlin-gendarmenmarkt.de/index.php?seitenID=3710&menueID = 293 & uid = undefined spending € 40 per night without breakfast. Right time to support the suitcases and we are already around the neighborhood. We decide to visit and dinner (with a good plate of Currywurst and chips, to be consumed strictly under the "joints" that give off heat) to the beautiful Christmas Market Gendarmenmark (ends 31 Dec). Entrance costs € 1, but it was worth it for both the Market for the beautiful square.

Tuesday, December 29

We got up early and at 8:30 we are already at the Cafe Einstein Friedrichstrasse to breakfast (it's a chain and there are several scattered throughout the city)!
After breakfast we walk up Unter den Linden and in about 10 minutes we are at Pariser Platz. Here it is them, before our eyes: the Brandenburg Gate in all its majesty.

look to the left, we enter the DZ Bank: Entry is free but you can not go beyond the lobby, but the reason we're here, just admire it from this distance! We work in front of 'Canadian architect Gehry.
Beyond the gate and head to the Reichstag (parliament)! There
terrified to see that there is a row to visit the dome (designed by Foster), but we do not care because we booked through the internet free guided tour in English at 10:30. In addition to having access to the dome without queuing, the Visitors can get into the Parliament and visit other rooms and corridors that all visitors without reservations will not see;)

left the Reichstag behind us, we are moving towards Potsdamer Platz with stops at the Memorial of 'Holocaust (Holocaust Mahnmel): designed by a New York architect, is composed of 2,711 rectangular concrete blocks of varying heights, as if to sound a lot sarcophagi.
For us it was moving through it but we, like all other people, we had fun hide and go up and down between a block and another. Free admission!

In few other min's walk, we reach Potsdamer Platz: the square has had a troubled history, reflecting the events that have transformed Berlin, Potsdamer Platz, but now is the center of a new residential and commercial district, is a unique tourist attraction and symbol of the new Berlin.
We enter the modern Sony Center where we decide to take a break for lunch from Lindenbräu. Traditional German-style place where around 15 euro each we ate an excellent potato soup-to-head and three seconds.

a full stomach reach Alexanderplatz: huge and desolate square in the heart of East Berlin which I believe has its charms. Before World War II was one of the most exciting area, and sooner or later come back to be!

We decide to visit St. Mary's, who together with Nikolaikirche is one of the oldest churches in Berlin survived. Unfortunately we could not take pictures inside ..
Given the fog, cold and now it is getting dark, we decided to skip the Berliner Dom and the statue of Marx and Engel to return the next day. Instead enter the DDR Museum (4 € with the Berlin Welcome Card). It 's interesting as a museum because it is interactive and as well as give you a chance to stand on a genuine Trabant and learn to dance Lipsi, will show you many things about how people lived in East Berlin and' a must for fans of Goodbye Lenin !
visitors past the city hall Berlin: Rathaus and we go to dinner in the neighborhood that evening, Nikolai bellssimo (we'll come back during the day). We dine well with
Currywurst and purée Georgbraeu Brauhaus http://www.georgbraeu.de/ and then to bed early. :)

Wednesday 30 December

Today we got up early and surprise: It's snowing and the ground is already all white!
Today we go to breakfast in a furnace behind his house, called Kamps and in addition to having four different things, makes coffee and cappuccino as well and there are tables to sit. We also found open New Year's Eve.
return to Alexanderplatz to go see in the Berliner Dom (3 € with the Welcome Card discount) and the statue of Marx & Engel.

We soon realize that walking in the snow all day is pretty tiring .. But this does not stop our desire to see
next destination of the morning and Tatcheles (a palace with a garden maintained by punks and some little shops to 'top floor. It' as very special place, we have noticed strange people there, but if we Look carefully not to touch anything with your hands!
Then we went to visit the New Synagogue, which is in the same way Tatcheles. The staff is very rude and not to Sinogago can not be accessed so I recommend to take some pictures and go.
After eating a sandwich on the fly, in the afternoon of Wednesday, we get to the hotel to go to see Check Point Charlie:
was the best known crossing point between the west and east.
After the reunification of the checkpoint was demolished, the cabin of the original watch today trovanell'Alliertenmuseum;
on 13 August 2000 it was opened a faithful reconstruction, which fester being very touristy, the thrill of being there is strong!

A short walk from Checkpoint Charlie is the Museum Haus am CheckpointCharlie http://www.mauermuseum.de/english/frame-
index-mauer. html (9.30 € served with the Berlin Welcome Card).
The museum presents the history of the two parts of the city, their contrasts and similarities. They are also used for the original content items
successful escapes underground, on land and air. Very
interssante!
Exit the museum, we see that it stopped snowing so we decided to move to the 'former West Berlin, more precisely on the Champs Élysées
Germany: Kurfürstendamm or simply Ku Damm. A giant street full of shops!
We head to the Kaiser-Wilhelm Memorial church almost completely destroyed by bombing
of World War II. In seguto were next to a modern contruiti bell tower and a church referred to as the powder and lipstick.

We note with pleasure that here is still open so we take advantage Natatilizio the Market for a ride.
last stop of the day the KaDeWe, the largest department store in Europe
While resumes to snow, we stop for dinner not far from Joe's Wirtshaus Berlin Zoo. We dine divinely
in this large restaurant serving traditional German food. Staff very nice. http://www.joes-berlin.de/

Wednesday, December 31

Even this morning we wake up while it continues to snow and has already accumulated a bit 'of snow (10 cm)! Let
to breakfast in our beloved bakery Kamps and then take the metro direction Olympiastadion.
leave the Metro we are in an almost deserted area of \u200b\u200bBerlin. There is lots of greenery around and the snow makes everything very special. We arrive in five minutes in front of the stage that brought us luck July 9, 2006! So conducting guided tours but we are not revenue, just admiring it from the outside we see the importance of this structure dates back to the Nazis. After the war he removed the swastika that was in place of the Olympic symbol.

Looking back on the tube, get off at Zoologischer Garten with the idea of \u200b\u200bgoing to visit the famous Zoo Juntas front of the entrance, we see that the path is all outside and takes 1 hour and a half .. As would be done under the snow, we decided instead to enter the aquarium which is located next to the Zoo
Zoo After being in the area, we move to the beautiful neighborhood of Nicolaivertel (completely rebuilt after the war in typical German style) and go lunch in a local cute: Kartoffelhaus http://hbservice.homepage.t-online.de/bkh/
As some of you have guessed, the menu of this restaurant is all based on potatoes and prices in the media.

In the afternoon we move to the East Side Gallery! I still remember the silence that there is among the people while walking next to the wall section ..
As you can see, almost all the murals, have been redone in November 2009.

After the East Side Gallery, we decided to go to the Topography of Terror, but unfortunately we arrived late and was closing .. It will be for the next visit Berlin!
In the same area is the Museum Judisches visit so we decided to go there .. The museum is divided into two buildings: a historic building and beside it a more modern.
interesting is the section on Jews deported with various letters and items belonging to them. Less interesting (to us) the section on Judaism as a religion .. More than anything, we found it boring! Maybe because we were very tired.
Since today is the last year, we decided to go there to rest a moment in the hotel, before going out again to head towards the Brandenburg Gate.
The first question we made was: where do we go to dinner?
Adjoining the hotel is the restaurant which serves traditional German Löwenbräu but .. When later asked if it was possible to book a table, they said yes, but dinner is € 75 per person.
We lose heart and to go to the 22 markets Gendarmenmarkt and dine them with a good ham sandwich in Prague is a delightful crepes nutella .. We realize that we are not the only who chose to dine at flea markets .. We remain a bit sheltered from the cold and snow in the structure of wood and heated by the "mushroom", then we start over again (10 min walk) to the Unter den Linden.
wait here the arrival of the new year among thousands of people and fireworks!

I must admit that as a new year, I found it a bit 'quieter than others .. The one we were already toward the warmth of the hotel to take the subway without slamming
The next morning, we leave our beautiful hotel and we take the train to the airport Berlin

inspired us so much as a city and there has not disappointed.

I hope to see you again soon! In the spring must be fantastic!

Net Books With Internal Dvd Player

a week for a walk in the southwest English city of lights in the New Year

Needless to start the diary, saying that these places we liked a lot and we have remained in the heart ...

From the fact that I find hard to sleep on the north coast of Cornwall, I expected to find a rather exaggerated and traffic was not so. Many British tourists, some German and Dutch, and almost no Italian (thankfully). What impressed us most of these places are definitely the green heath, grazing animals (horses, cows and sheep), the typical villages of fishermen, beautiful cottages, the colorful cottages on the beach, children enjoyed fishing crabs, flowers, beautiful gardens, right-hand drive and people always very kind and friendly.

Period -> from 31 July to 07 August. Recommended period the high summer for the many hours of daylight.

Flights -> (Ryanair) Bergamo - Bristol = 45 € (Southwest Air) Newquay - London = 35 € (Easyjet) London - Palermo = 108 €.

Counties cross -> Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon and receive at home Cornovaglia.Può useful material requires email addresses of the various tourist offices in each county.

hire and roads -> Enoleggio (Alamo) with collection and delivery Bristol Airport to Newquay Airport € 237. We drove about 1000 miles without realizing it. The longest trip was no more than 1 hour consecutiva.Le roads, especially in Cornwall, there are wide more than 2 or 3 feet so do all the best insurance possible. Every few meters there is a kind of enlargement to allow you to pull over if you see a car coming in the opposite direction. If you cross at a point without enlargement, one of two cars and forced to back down. Assured that the British should not be in a hurry and no one sends you to that country, indeed, thank you or respond with a nod to your thanks. Never heard a car horn to play in seven days. The highways are free and very beautiful to 3 lanes! Council use the navigator in Cornwall because the signs are often poor and the camera are numerous.

Parking -> sore point that virtually all of the parking lots as they are paid (from 1 to 3 pounds per hour up to a maximum of 5-6 throughout the day). They can get discounts if you are a member of the National Trust.In some countries we can find free parking just outside the village not far from the parking pagamento.In Alternatively, you can use the system of park + ride out of town that is parked for free in special squares and take a bus that takes you to the 18 centro.Dopo get free parking.

As an extra few souvenirs such as magnets and shells.

Weather -> say that we're fortunate it's not, it has rained only a couple of times and the rain never lasted more than half an hour (events are not rare especially in this time of year). Often we had the sun to keep us company. We also tanned Temperatures were accettabilissime, ranged from 18 to 23 ° C.

used Guide -> Lonely Planet Devon, Cornwall & SouthWest England (there is the Italian version) and Lonely Planet England.

July 31

We land in Bristol at 23:30 in the evening but it is not a problem because the owners of B & B we expect to "pick up parking ten minutes." Not wanting to lose time, I tried a b & b in central Bristol as the next morning we were back to the airport to collect the car at first noleggio.Il b & b (a few minutes from the airport) there is now beautiful and the owners very kind!

August 1

the morning we get up early and after a good continental breakfast, her husband back to the airport there and download it right in front of the office rental. We chose Enoleggio (Alamo) and within minutes we deliver a brand new (and huge because we already know what kind of roads ahead) Peugeot 207 s / w! are familiar with the machine, we start exploring the Wiltshire and we head to Lacock, a gem of a city owned by the National Trust. Used for some scenes of Pride and Prejudice and Harry Potter. Too bad for the cars parked in front of homes.

left the village of Lacock, we head into the city's main tourist tour that we did: Bath.Già the name evokes the elegant Roman bath complex. The city full of beautiful flowers, green is surrounded by seven hills and the many Georgian houses have brought the city to be entirely protected by UNESCO. The attraction is definitely worth visiting the Roman Baths Museum http://www.romanbaths.co.uk/

Entrance costs exaggeration (about £ 12) but the audio guide is included. What more worthy in my opinion is the Great Bath.Per lunch abbimo chosen Sally Lunn's: Located in the oldest building in Bath. Try the focaccia! In the afternoon we move into the smaller cities of England: Wells.L 'objective of the visit is the Cathedral Church of St. Andrew, built between 1180 and 1508. Free admission.

Being already late afternoon and since we already a bit tired, we decide to skip a visit to Glastonbury Tor we admire only lontano.Ci then we march towards the next town where we will sleep well: Shaftesbury! The most famous city is the Gold Hill as well as a cobbled narrow street lined with beautiful cottages. The view from up there is magnificent. Since arriving late on Sunday in an apple, the town was almost completely deserta.Una famous advertisements of the 70 packaged bread Hovis was shot right here.

August 2

Inglese After a delicious breakfast, we marched towards the first half of the day: the ruins of Corfe Castle .. Arriving near the parking lot, we find that we can get through a pretty little steam train and an additional 20-minute train ride and beautiful scenery you can go to a popular seaside town of Dorset: Swanage (£ 9 return). http://www.swanagerailway.co.uk/n-fares.htm Very good as an experience. One has the feeling of stepping back in time. In addition, we were the only "foreign" on the train! In the afternoon we move to the nearby Durdle Door: an arch formed by the erosion of mare.Abbiamo follow the signs to the parking lot from which opens a very wide choice of paths (paths ) to go along the coast to get in view of spiaggia.La Dudli Door and the cliffs are breathtaking and certainly one of the most Dorset's beautiful!

In the late afternoon walk along the stretch of Jurassic Coast (so named for the geological variety on this territory), through the lively Lyme Regis until you get to Beer: the most characteristic town on the coast of Devon.Giunti the parking lot (in agreement with the b & b so free), let's leave your luggage in the room and then begin our walk through the quiet town. For dinner I report the Anchor Inn pub-restaurant http://www.anchorinn-beer.co.uk/restaur ... Menus.phpIl-b & b we stayed was very nice and the owner gentile.Unico Neo: For breakfast there are only four tables and the rooms are 5, we chose to have breakfast outside so there was too much mess. Our room was beautiful, even if he sink in the room and bathroom with shower and separate entrances, but always in the room. The b & b provides earplugs for the seagulls if you have a light sleeper, you should put them!

August 3

Our day begins with a stop in Torquay, birthplace of Agatha Chrstie. I say stop because it is very commercialized and we did not like .. not to waste too much time, we decided to go to Paignton: in this case the center is very commercialized but there is a beautiful seafront with rides, Pier, beach and lots of colorful boxes!

After lunch we proceed to Dartmouth and just a couple of km to go .. Surprisingly, we embark on the car ferry to the other side and enter the country There is also a land route, however, would have been much lungo.Il country loved it despite the gray day. The small harbor is alive with young crab fishermen who brave the rain Our visit to Dartmouth has an ulterior motive: to visit the home of Agatha Chrstie located at Greenway. It 'not recommended to get here by car so we decided to take the ferry (about 30 minutes from Dartmouth). In addition, not arriving by car, but "by green ways" you can save almost two pounds, so we paid £ 7.40. The ferry costs £ 8 at the location very nice king http://www.greenwayferry.co . uk / The home of Agatha Christie has just opened its doors and I liked it a lot. Unfortunately you can not take pictures inside .. The rooms full of books, family photos, clothes and much more on display!
Return to Dartmouth after a pleasant visit, we are approaching the entrance Cornavaglia across the Tamar Bridge and more specifically to the b & b where sosteremo.Questo Looe is the only b & b free parking. The B & B is perched so you are obliged to make the trek on foot, but it's worth it just for the room and the view you have from up there! We fortunately have found a place in the parking pagamento.Anche this fishing town we liked a lot. Full of Brits on holiday! For dinner counsel "The White Swan Pub" located directly opposite the church!
August 4

spioviggina this morning but we are also equipped for this and nothing will make us change our plans! First half of the day, one of the most beautiful fishing villages of Cornwall: Polperro! That peace and tranquility that is arriving early in the morning .. He has almost stopped raining when we move in the direction where we arrive Fowey ferrying the car for a short tratto.Molto this country too cute if a little 'closer to the tourism inglese.Dopo we head to Fowey Mevagissey and then to Falmouth!
After a quick visit to Falmouth, The Lizard we move through Cadgwith where you are in a party paese.The Lizard Peninsula has made known to the stormy side of Cornwall, has made us fall in love with its black cliffs, coves and rugged expanses of the babagli brughiere.Una time left in the room of beautiful b & b, we take advantage of the sunny day to go to Lizard Village and follow a path to go see the cliffs!

August 5

After a leisurely breakfast in the company of two other British guests of the b & b, we start our day with breathtaking views to the Lizard Point and then to Kynance Mullion Cove and before leaving this beautiful areas.

In late morning we reach the nearby Marazion. The town is very pretty and the reason that brings us here is St.Michael 's Mount is, the copy of the French Mont St. Michel, one of the main attractions of Cornovaglia.Noi however we choose to admire it from the ground ferma.Noi we ate at the pub "The engine inn http://thefireengineinn.com/default.aspx you have a beautiful view of the mountain and we ate a delicious dish: creamy fish pie, which consists of a small ceramic bowl inside with pieces of fish covered by mashed potatoes and melted cheese.
In the afternoon we visit one of the historic fishing villages among the most beautiful in Cornwall, which we liked a lot: Mousehole.

Here at last we buy directly from the beautiful shells on the street post box. Of course there is no seller and the money must be left in the containers placed side by side. We see areas that are almost inaccessible by the Italians?
In Italy there could be a principle like that! Jumping
deliberately Penzance, we head to Land's End where they open in front of us beautiful landscapes and many trails for walking.

Too bad for that theme park built near the parking pagamento.Non believe it but here we also tanned!

August 6

breakfast spend time talking with the owners of the b & b with a family of Bristol made by his wife, child and husband of 11 years & b guests b. It was raining outside so we did not hurry to get in gear! Since yesterday, we were obliged to visit St Ives now more calmly. Excellent choice for breakfast because we do not recommend everyone to get in the car since August traffic to find parking. Alternatively, we recommend that you bring us to Letant car, parked near the train station by train and reach St.Ives spending € 4 a / r. Frequent trains. The journey takes 10.15 min circa.Fortunatamente come to St.Ives and it stops raining! The town, as the largest travel and other, we liked a lot. Here is a branch of the Tate Britain.
After a quick and delicious fish pie, we take the train to Letant and back into the car! In afternoon is the time to: - Padstow: the port of the country you live a 'picturesque atmosphere of shops, cafes, seafood restaurants, fishing boats and young-Tintagel: the country has much to offer in addition to old-style home in Cornish Poste.La the main reason that attracts many tourists are surely the ruins of the castle that seems to have been born king of the Anglo-Saxon myths -> King Arthur. Very beautiful panoramas of the ruins near Boscastle .-: Most of the buildings in this jewel of the country have been restored following a devastating flood that hit Boscastle 16 August 2004.
leaving reluctantly Boscastle, dediamo reaching the last b & b this beautiful tour.L 'initial idea was to call one in the center of Port Isaac, but did not find the spot, the choice fell on a little town (St. Mabyn) between Bodmin and Port Isaac.Il b & b is really beautiful and surrounded by nature as the village of St. Mabyn has a handful of houses.

August 7

Today is our last day in the south-west LDopo a delicious breakfast, we are approaching our second last destination before flying inside Newquay - London! The first destination is the lovely Port Isaac: world-famous fishing village. Very nice also the walkway from the parking lot to the country.

Given the beautiful day we decided to walk to the Eiffel Tower a pleasant walk through les Invalides to the Champs de Mars .

soon as we get under the Eiffel Tower, we are not aware of file kilometers to go up as we are committed to admire it from the bottom up. We decide to get in line to climb to the top of the lift from that .. currently spend two hours before tightening the ticket in his hands, but it's worth it! lunch while we lined up with a baguette with ham and cheese.
The view from the Eiffel Tower is certainly impressive! Luckily today is a wonderful day and you have a beautiful view over the city and the main monumenti.Lasciamo the tower to go to warm up to the Galerie Lafayette.

December 30, 2008

We got up early morning and go like the past by our dear Paul for breakfast.
After breakfast we a short walk to the Marais Centre Pompidou seeing in the distance but unfortunately predilegiamo get in front of Notre Dame before the "tourist boom" will be the right choice because when we go out n or the row is already more that Kilometer! Maybe it is also because spioviggiana and people took refuge in churches and museums most quickly.
After Notre Dame we decide to visit Sainte Chapelle and Conciergerie .. We lined up 40 minutes in the rain and then be told that you can visit the Conciergerie if you do not have the attendance and the Sainte Chapelle is closing and reopening at 2:30 ... Here is the delusion that the tourists are beginning to complain and yell at a girl who t str .... issima terrible swift tourists pushing us away ... I say if they knew they could avoid being close to wait in line 40 minutes ...
We go for a pizza on the Grand Boulevards (11.50 € pizza + coke + coffee) and then stop waiting for the rain / sleet we throw at 'Hard Rock Cafe and the Virgin. Hard rock cafe buy a shirt for me while the Virgin I was commissioned to buy the new cd of Charles finally stops sleet as we go to the Dome des Invalides to see the tomb of Napoleon!

Then we move on the Champs Elysee but we can not climb the Arc which is closed for bad weather.

being now dinner time, we plan to visit with my friends in the Latin Quarter, and we decide to dine at the Creperie de Cluny dinner with sweet and savory crepes!

Today is the last day of the year now that I spend around Europe for 3 anni.Inanuguriamo suffered the day while we are eating breakfast meeting by Paul Walter Veltroni, who greets us and makes us the morning we wish you a Merry Anno.Questa decide whether to spend the Louvre or the Orsay .. We opt for the D'Orsay, which is smaller and content, leaving the Louvre in Paris when we return to pass the same in front of the Louvre to take some pictures and to get to the D'Orsay walk.

front row at the D'Orsay is already very long .. We fortunately we have the Paris Museum Pass (2 days -> 30 €) and we put ourselves in line with those who have reservations and we are already in about 10 min in museo.Il the museum is very nice for the former Central hosting it for the section that I really like the Impressionists.

After visiting the Musée d'Orsay, let's go to lunch in one of the many Greek restaurants in the neighborhood for lunch we finally latino.Finito joining the Sainte Chapelle and we convince ourselves that so hard to get has been reciprocated by the beauty of the Chapel!

Outside the Sainte Chappelle decided to go to the Palais Royal, which unfortunately is under renovation .. then continue to go for a walk on the Champs Elysée in the room before returning to rest a moment and prepare to spend the New Year all ' open!

After a shower and a short nap, we meet with my friends in the Latin Quarter and decide to go to dinner at the Grand Bistrot "(also recommended by Vale and also because New Year's Eve was the one who had the lowest prices low if you wanted to eat fondue). We wait about 15 minutes before you sit down but then they will be quick to serve us! Eat solid ground and we spend about 20 euro testa.Dopo dinner take a walk before moving on to the Pont de l'Alma where he arrived after midnight due to the underground problem (we forced to get off two stops early and we have more than 1 km road walk). We console ourselves by seeing thousands of people on the Champs Elysée.
Once on deck, we do sell to 10 instead of 20 € a bottle of champagne and toast the New Year together.
Around 2 we salute you (because my friends have the hotel near the Eiffel Tower) and we will face the same problem with the metro to hotel.Infatti in return, makes us all get off at Chatelet because it can not continue and we'll go walk to the hotel which is about 30 minutes of walking at a fast pace .. We stop just to admire the majestic Hotel De Ville.

January 1, 2009

Being the first day of the year, we raise a little 'later than usual at 10:30 am, but already we are already walking Montmartre.Poi take the cable car (free of charge throughout the morning) and go up to enter the Sacre Coeur.

back down, we turn to discover this beautiful and fascinating neighborhood, stopping for a creme brule at the Cafe des 2 Moulins (for the uninitiated, this bar was a location of the movie "Amelie"). Of course we can not go see the Moulin Rouge!

After seeing the Moulin Rouge we go to lunch at the last minute always cinese.Nel afternoon shopping in Montmartre and then while returning to the hotel we stop by metro to the Pere Lachaise cemetery which is on the road. Too bad we stopped a short time because this place deserves a half day!

Let's take the hotel to pack up and then metro to Porte Maillot, bus to Beauvais, fly to Bergamo and then last hour and a half drive to get to saying casetta.Concludo that Paris did not give me a lot .. entusismato Was it the fact that there were too many tourists that have curbed our desire to see everything that we set ourselves, the people rude and unpleasant and maybe even the gray weather and cold.
