Net Books With Internal Dvd Player

a week for a walk in the southwest English city of lights in the New Year

Needless to start the diary, saying that these places we liked a lot and we have remained in the heart ...

From the fact that I find hard to sleep on the north coast of Cornwall, I expected to find a rather exaggerated and traffic was not so. Many British tourists, some German and Dutch, and almost no Italian (thankfully). What impressed us most of these places are definitely the green heath, grazing animals (horses, cows and sheep), the typical villages of fishermen, beautiful cottages, the colorful cottages on the beach, children enjoyed fishing crabs, flowers, beautiful gardens, right-hand drive and people always very kind and friendly.

Period -> from 31 July to 07 August. Recommended period the high summer for the many hours of daylight.

Flights -> (Ryanair) Bergamo - Bristol = 45 € (Southwest Air) Newquay - London = 35 € (Easyjet) London - Palermo = 108 €.

Counties cross -> Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon and receive at home Cornovaglia.Può useful material requires email addresses of the various tourist offices in each county.

hire and roads -> Enoleggio (Alamo) with collection and delivery Bristol Airport to Newquay Airport € 237. We drove about 1000 miles without realizing it. The longest trip was no more than 1 hour consecutiva.Le roads, especially in Cornwall, there are wide more than 2 or 3 feet so do all the best insurance possible. Every few meters there is a kind of enlargement to allow you to pull over if you see a car coming in the opposite direction. If you cross at a point without enlargement, one of two cars and forced to back down. Assured that the British should not be in a hurry and no one sends you to that country, indeed, thank you or respond with a nod to your thanks. Never heard a car horn to play in seven days. The highways are free and very beautiful to 3 lanes! Council use the navigator in Cornwall because the signs are often poor and the camera are numerous.

Parking -> sore point that virtually all of the parking lots as they are paid (from 1 to 3 pounds per hour up to a maximum of 5-6 throughout the day). They can get discounts if you are a member of the National Trust. In some countries we can find free parking just outside the village not far from the parking pagamento. In Alternatively, you can use the system of park + ride out of town that is parked for free in special squares and take a bus that takes you to the 18 centro.Dopo get free parking.

We land in Bristol at 23:30 in the evening but it is not a problem because the owners of B & B we expect to "pick up parking ten minutes." Not wanting to lose time, I tried a b & b in central Bristol as the next morning we were back to the airport to collect the car at first noleggio.Il b & b (a few minutes from the airport) there is now beautiful and the owners very kind!

August 1

the morning we get up early and after a good continental breakfast, her husband back to the airport there and download it right in front of the office rental. We chose Enoleggio (Alamo) and within minutes we deliver a brand new (and huge because we already know what kind of roads ahead) Peugeot 207 s / w! are familiar with the machine, we start exploring the Wiltshire and we head to Lacock, a gem of a city owned by the National Trust. Used for some scenes of Pride and Prejudice and Harry Potter. Too bad for the cars parked in front of homes.

left the village of Lacock, we head into the city's main tourist tour that we did: Bath.Già the name evokes the elegant Roman bath complex. The city full of beautiful flowers, green is surrounded by seven hills and the many Georgian houses have brought the city to be entirely protected by UNESCO. The attraction is definitely worth visiting the Roman Baths Museum http://www.romanbaths.co.uk/

Entrance costs exaggeration (about £ 12) but the audio guide is included. What more worthy in my opinion is the Great Bath.Per lunch abbimo chosen Sally Lunn's: Located in the oldest building in Bath. Try the focaccia! In the afternoon we move into the smaller cities of England: Wells.L 'objective of the visit is the Cathedral Church of St. Andrew, built between 1180 and 1508. Free admission.

Being already late afternoon and since we already a bit tired, we decide to skip a visit to Glastonbury Tor we admire only lontano.Ci then we march towards the next town where we will sleep well: Shaftesbury! The most famous city is the Gold Hill as well as a cobbled narrow street lined with beautiful cottages. The view from up there is magnificent. Since arriving late on Sunday in an apple, the town was almost completely deserta.Una famous advertisements of the 70 packaged bread Hovis was shot right here.

August 2

Inglese After a delicious breakfast, we marched towards the first half of the day: the ruins of Corfe Castle .. Arriving near the parking lot, we find that we can get through a pretty little steam train and an additional 20-minute train ride and beautiful scenery you can go to a popular seaside town of Dorset: Swanage (£ 9 return). http://www.swanagerailway.co.uk/n-fares.htm Very good as an experience. One has the feeling of stepping back in time. In addition, we were the only "foreign" on the train! In the afternoon we move to the nearby Durdle Door: an arch formed by the erosion of mare.Abbiamo follow the signs to the parking lot from which opens a very wide choice of paths (paths ) to go along the coast to get in view of spiaggia.La Dudli Door and the cliffs are breathtaking and certainly one of the most Dorset's beautiful!

In the late afternoon walk along the stretch of Jurassic Coast (so named for the geological variety on this territory), through the lively Lyme Regis until you get to Beer: the most characteristic town on the coast of Devon.Giunti the parking lot (in agreement with the b & b so free), let's leave your luggage in the room and then begin our walk through the quiet town. For dinner I report the Anchor Inn pub-restaurant http://www.anchorinn-beer.co.uk/restaur ... Menus.phpIl-b & b we stayed was very nice and the owner gentile.Unico Neo: For breakfast there are only four tables and the rooms are 5, we chose to have breakfast outside so there was too much mess. Our room was beautiful, even if he sink in the room and bathroom with shower and separate entrances, but always in the room. The b & b provides earplugs for the seagulls if you have a light sleeper, you should put them!

August 3

Our day begins with a stop in Torquay, birthplace of Agatha Chrstie. I say stop because it is very commercialized and we did not like .. not to waste too much time, we decided to go to Paignton: in this case the center is very commercialized but there is a beautiful seafront with rides, Pier, beach and lots of colorful boxes!

After lunch we proceed to Dartmouth and just a couple of km to go .. Surprisingly, we embark on the car ferry to the other side and enter the country There is also a land route, however, would have been much lungo.Il country loved it despite the gray day. The small harbor is alive with young crab fishermen who brave the rain Our visit to Dartmouth has an ulterior motive: to visit the home of Agatha Chrstie located at Greenway. It 'not recommended to get here by car so we decided to take the ferry (about 30 minutes from Dartmouth). In addition, not arriving by car, but "by green ways" you can save almost two pounds, so we paid £ 7.40. The ferry costs £ 8 at the location very nice king http://www.greenwayferry.co . uk / The home of Agatha Christie has just opened its doors and I liked it a lot. Unfortunately you can not take pictures inside .. The rooms full of books, family photos, clothes and much more on display!
Return to Dartmouth after a pleasant visit, we are approaching the entrance Cornavaglia across the Tamar Bridge and more specifically to the b & b where sosteremo.Questo Looe is the only b & b free parking. The B & B is perched so you are obliged to make the trek on foot, but it's worth it just for the room and the view you have from up there! We fortunately have found a place in the parking pagamento.Anche this fishing town we liked a lot. Full of Brits on holiday! For dinner counsel "The White Swan Pub" located directly opposite the church!
August 4

spioviggina this morning but we are also equipped for this and nothing will make us change our plans! First half of the day, one of the most beautiful fishing villages of Cornwall: Polperro! That peace and tranquility that is arriving early in the morning .. He has almost stopped raining when we move in the direction where we arrive Fowey ferrying the car for a short tratto.Molto this country too cute if a little 'closer to the tourism inglese.Dopo we head to Fowey Mevagissey and then to Falmouth!
After a quick visit to Falmouth, The Lizard we move through Cadgwith where you are in a party paese. The Lizard Peninsula has made known to the stormy side of Cornwall, has made us fall in love with its black cliffs, coves and rugged expanses of the babagli brughiere.Una time left in the room of beautiful b & b, we take advantage of the sunny day to go to Lizard Village and follow a path to go see the cliffs!

August 5

After a leisurely breakfast in the company of two other British guests of the b & b, we start our day with breathtaking views to the Lizard Point and then to Kynance Mullion Cove and before leaving this beautiful areas.

In late morning we reach the nearby Marazion. The town is very pretty and the reason that brings us here is St.Michael 's Mount is, the copy of the French Mont St. Michel, one of the main attractions of Cornovaglia.Noi however we choose to admire it from the ground ferma.Noi we ate at the pub "The engine inn http://thefireengineinn.com/default.aspx you have a beautiful view of the mountain and we ate a delicious dish: creamy fish pie, which consists of a small ceramic bowl inside with pieces of fish covered by mashed potatoes and melted cheese.
In the afternoon we visit one of the historic fishing villages among the most beautiful in Cornwall, which we liked a lot: Mousehole.

Here at last we buy directly from the beautiful shells on the street post box. Of course there is no seller and the money must be left in the containers placed side by side. We see areas that are almost inaccessible by the Italians?
In Italy there could be a principle like that! Jumping
deliberately Penzance, we head to Land's End where they open in front of us beautiful landscapes and many trails for walking.

Too bad for that theme park built near the parking pagamento.Non believe it but here we also tanned!

August 6

breakfast spend time talking with the owners of the b & b with a family of Bristol made by his wife, child and husband of 11 years & b guests b. It was raining outside so we did not hurry to get in gear! Since yesterday, we were obliged to visit St Ives now more calmly. Excellent choice for breakfast because we do not recommend everyone to get in the car since August traffic to find parking. Alternatively, we recommend that you bring us to Letant car, parked near the train station by train and reach St.Ives spending € 4 a / r. Frequent trains. The journey takes 10.15 min circa.Fortunatamente come to St.Ives and it stops raining! The town, as the largest travel and other, we liked a lot. Here is a branch of the Tate Britain.
After a quick and delicious fish pie, we take the train to Letant and back into the car! In afternoon is the time to: - Padstow: the port of the country you live a 'picturesque atmosphere of shops, cafes, seafood restaurants, fishing boats and young-Tintagel: the country has much to offer in addition to old-style home in Cornish Poste.La the main reason that attracts many tourists are surely the ruins of the castle that seems to have been born king of the Anglo-Saxon myths -> King Arthur. Very beautiful panoramas of the ruins near Boscastle .-: Most of the buildings in this jewel of the country have been restored following a devastating flood that hit Boscastle 16 August 2004.
leaving reluctantly Boscastle, dediamo reaching the last b & b this beautiful tour.L 'initial idea was to call one in the center of Port Isaac, but did not find the spot, the choice fell on a little town (St. Mabyn) between Bodmin and Port Isaac.Il b & b is really beautiful and surrounded by nature as the village of St. Mabyn has a handful of houses.

August 7

Today is our last day in the south-west LDopo a delicious breakfast, we are approaching our second last destination before flying inside Newquay - London! The first destination is the lovely Port Isaac: world-famous fishing village. Very nice also the walkway from the parking lot to the country.
last leg of our tour was "Lanhydrock country house and estate" located near Bodmin. Very beautiful is the house that giardini.Pare that here was the film "Gosford Park" nominated for seven Academy Awards in 2002.Dopo visit to this residence, we approach (sad) at the tiny airport to Newquay where we leave the our car in the parking lot of the rental offices. We were the only Italian in the entire airport. A unique experience! I do not remember if I wrote that while we were inside the 'airport is the fire alarm sounded and we had to evacuate the structure! In the end nothing happened! More information: If you want to take on, a person must pay a fee to the environment than £ 5 to machines automatic before you check in.Il AirSouthwest take off on time flight to London Gatwick and from there we will spend a night in the City because we have a flight the next day for a week of relaxation and sea in Sicily.
