Croweology , double cd The Black Crowes are so many things all at once: first, a live album grandissmo testimony of a band once again in a state of grace, then is the summary of the group's career, heir to the best tradition of rock stars and stripes (according to the magazine Melody Maker "The most rock 'n' roll band of rock 'n' roll"). Unfortunately this album is also their farewell: the brothers Chris and Rich Robinson have decided to stop flying for some time, pace of the millions of fans scattered everywhere (they have sold over 20 million records), especially in America. Croweology is therefore a budget, the squaring of a circle, a farewell (hopefully see you) in music along a handful of songs, 20, just like the years of his career for these guys in Atlanta, that the onset of the 1990 to 1994/96 storidirono it over and over again between drugs, alcohol, women, fights and quarrels, short of hotheads. But the music ... chapeau! The initial triad _completata from The Southern Harmony and Amorita 1994_ nice moments of high, hovering between Stones, Faces, Santana and The Band. And it's great to hear Croweology just for the pleasure of surprise with new arrangements, new instruments, a new look for classic printed for years in the hearts of those who wrote these lines. The debut today as the debut album from 20 years ago is entrusted to Jealous Again: the Stones square. Remedy dilated and relaxed in this version can be appreciated as always. Non-Fiction is as beautiful as in Amorita, just like a two- Ballad in Urgency Wiser Time , probably one of the highest ever of American rock. To hear Chris's voice is changed but still biting is an emotion, even when it becomes difficult to reach certain notes so high. The second disc opens with the touching She Talks To Angels and ends with the blues Bad Luck Blue Eyes Good Bye , their Since I've Been Loving You (old piece of Led Zeppelin). In the middle of the groove Downtown Money Waster , rock sound Morning Song and another handful of unforgettable songs. Let's Say Goodnight To The Bad Guys! Tuesday, January 25, 2011
